Most health insurance companies who cover osteopathy. | I set out in osteopathy to be able to treat children. I have learned the cranial/sacral technique (and now teaching with The Sutherland Cranial College) which has enabled me to treat adults and children. However, my love of children has led me to actively encourage children in the clinic. We liaise closely with health visitors and GPs and work on newborns, patients seek osteopathic advice on conditions such as colic, restlessness, failure to sleep, brain damage - the list is endless and varied. In older children we treat glue-ear, combining cranial work with self help techniques, as well as dyspraxia, Downs syndrome, dental help etc.
I offer free mum and baby check-ups to mums with babies under 6 months of age. 30% of all born infants would benefit from osteopathic treatment. This helps to screen for them and also clear up any back and neckache in the mother. This offer unfortunately doesn't cover any treatment. |
